River Road Tavern are proud to become a part of the community on Logan River Road. Built on land that has a rich history, Beenleigh became home to the early settlers who developed farms and sugarcane plantations in the 1800s.

Founded in the 1860s, Beenleigh was named after the first sugarcane plantation in the region and became home to The Beenleigh Rum Distillery, the oldest registered distillery in Australia and was the legal successor to a floating moonshine still, the SS Walrus.
